In February, the Danish Health and Medicines Authority published the first 14 of approximately 1,000 adverse reactions prints, called Drug Analysis Prints of suspected adverse drug reactions (ADRs) reported by doctors, patients and relatives.

Each Drug Analysis Print lists the number of adverse reactions reported for a particular active substance.
There are nearly 1,000 Drug Analysis Prints, which include data from more than 14,000 ADR reports, describing more than 39,000 specific reactions.
A help to raise awareness of potential safety issues
The Drug Analysis Prints may first and foremost provide an overview of the suspected adverse reactions that have been reported to the Danish Health and Medicines Authority and how the number of reports develops.
The Drug Analysis Prints only contain reports of suspected adverse reactions, and it is therefore not proven that the reported reactions are caused by the medicine.
However, the Danish Health and Medicines Authority believes that the Drug Analysis Prints can help researchers and others put focus on safety problems that may need to be examined further.
The Drug Analysis Prints will also be useful for doctors who want to know if an adverse reaction has been reported for a particular active substance that they too suspect has caused a reaction.

The Drug Analysis Prints represent depersonalised extracts from the Danish Health and Medicines Authority's adverse reaction database.
The adverse drug reactions are grouped in System Organ Classes. This means that suspected adverse reactions related to, for example, psychiatric disorders are grouped together.
The prints contain adverse reactions reported in Denmark from 2007 and onwards.
They are updated on a monthly basis.
