The Canadian pharmaceutical authorities – Health Canada – have found a product containing the active substance vardenafil without this being indicated on the packets. The product concerned is called Libidus. The product is sold on the internet and it is not authorised by the Danish Medicines Agency.
Normally, vardenafil is used for treatment of erectile dysfunction. Vardenafil is the active substance in the authorised medicinal product Levitra®, which can only be bought on prescription. Treatment with Levitra® can therefore only be initiated after consultation with a doctor.
The Danish Medicines Agency recommends persons, who have used the tablets, to stop using them.
