The Reimbursement Committee

The Reimbursement Committee's task is to advise the Danish Medicines Agency in cases concerning health insurance reimbursement on medicinal products - both general reimbursement and individual reimbursements.

The Reimbursement Committee consists of a maximum of 7 people, of whom 2 must be general practitioners.

Members are appointed by the Minister of the Interior and Health after recommendation by the Danish Medicines Agency. One member is appointed by the Minister of the Interior and Health after recommendation by the Regions’ Board for Salaries and Rates (Regionernes Lønnings- og Takstnævn). The committee's members are appointed for 4 years at a time and collectively possess a broad professional expertise.

The Danish Medicines Agency provides a secretariat for the work of the Committee.
